September can be a warm month. Cool in the morning, but hot in the afternoon, it can be 23C.
October and November are rainy months, it can be 10C
And then in December and January, it can get cold. Sometimes it can snow.
Today it is cool in Tsawwassen. It rained today. It was only 15C. But in December and January it can be 0C or -5C. That's why you need your winter coat with you.
What kind of clothes do we need for war, rainy and cold weather?
Coat, shoes, running shoes, maybe boots.
Will you bring a bathing suit?
We have a beautiful indoor pool here in Tsawwassen.
Will you have to have socks on your feet in your shoes?

Should you wear pants to school? Or should you wear your bathing suit to school?
You will not wear your bathing suit to school.
In September, you might wear shorts and a t-shirt, but you will probably wear a sweatshirt, or a sweater.

We wear pants, shirts, sweaters, running shoes (sneakers).
In Canada, we do not say sneakers or tennis shoes. We say runners or running shoes.
What will you wear at bedtime?
We wear pyjamas.
Your homestay family might say P Js.
Will you bring your own pillow?
Homestay families have pillows for you for your bed.
You might want to bring mittens or gloves. In December it gets cold.
Will you bring school supplies?
Pen, pencil, eraser.
Those are really good things to bring with you.
You will need a pair of shorts and a t-shirt for gym class, and running shoes.
If you don't have your running shoes, the teacher will not let you do gym class.
