Europe is one continent.
A continent is a big area of land.
We have 7 continents on Earth: Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Europe, Antarctica, Oceania (Australia).
Europe is beside Asia.
What are some other countries in Europe?
Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal.
China is a country in Asia.
Do you know some other countries in Asia?
Japan, Korea, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan.
What continent is Canada on?
North America.
In North America, there are three countries: Canada, USA and Mexico.
What language do they speak in Mexico?
They speak Spanish.
What language do they speak in France?
French.
What language do they speak in China?
Chinese.
But which one?
Do you speak Mandarin or Cantonese?
We speak Mandarin.
But in other places in Asia, they speak Cantonese.
In Canada, what languages do we speak?
We have two official languages.
English and French.
Not all Canadians speak French, and not all Canadians speak English.

1. 表示人物的单词
Boy, girl, grandma or grandmother, grandfather or grandpa, mother (mom), father( dad), sister, brother, police officer, man, woman, teacher, doctor, firefighter.
In Canada, man and woman can be police, so we don't say policeman, we say police officer.
We don't say fireman, because men and women can both do that job, so we say firefighter.
2. 日常用品
fork, spoon, bed, clock, bathtub, shower, toilet, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, towel.
When you come to Canada, you will see bathtub, shower, toilet all in the same room, it is called the bathroom or the washroom. When you come here, you will ask "May I go to the washroom please?”
3. 食物
blackberry, cake, ice cream, chocolate chip cookie, water, banana, cheese, carrot, milk, egg, bread, mushroom, corn, potato, tomato, apple, strawberry, pumpkin.
4. 学习用品
desk, ruler, glue, computer, book, eraser, scissor, crayon.
5. 其它
house, door, arm chair, garbage can, flower, grass, plant, dresser, bike (bicycle), shark, bee, tree, moon, sun, cloud, star, airplane, frog, fly, beaver, caterpillar, snake, skunk, butterfly, ladybug.
Ladybugs are very tiny insects.
